Heathtec Hands-on learning - Heathier options for young people.
The West Midlands is at the forefront of an innovative approach in engaging students with health sciences.
Health employers, schools and universities have developed HealthTec centres which provide students with access to real life healthcare environments and practical lessons from healthcare professionals.
The UK’s first centre was opened at Harborne Hill School in Birmingham and already 2,500 students have been through its doors. A second centre has since been opened in Wolverhampton.
Organisers think the model of teaching could be used in centres across the UK helping more people take up a career in healthcare.
