International development secretary visits Birmingham - The role of the West Midlands in global development.

International Development Secretary Douglas Alexander visited Birmingham to discuss how businesses and the people of the West Midlands can play their part in global development.

He visited Swanshurst School in south Birmingham and met staff, students and local constituents to get a sense of their commitment to global issues and to support their endeavours.
