Clinical trials do no represent ethnic population

Researchers at Warwick University are trying to overcome an under representation of people from Asian and Afro-Caribbean communities in clinical trials.

The lack of numbers of people from the ethnic backgrounds could mean that drugs or procedures are developed without properly addressing the needs of this community.

The researchers are looking at how data on the ethnic minority population is used and how to encourage more people from this group to take part in trials.
