Fast Forward:Designing the Green car

Students from three schools taking part in the ideasforlife.tv Fast Forward challenge to design their own car are learning about designs that are kind to the environment.

They have gone to Birmingham University to hear about different elements of design that can improve their car's green performance.

Engineering experts give the students tips about different types of fuel, aerodynamics and weight distribution.

And the pupils get their hands on a real racing car.
